The Montana Council is pleased to welcome Jane Damron as the new Missoula Store Associate.
Jane was born in Redding, California, but her family’s roots run deep in Montana. When she was in eighth grade, her mother moved them back to the Bitterroot Valley, where previous generations of the family had settled. Jane’s great-great-grandfather served as captain of the first Montana Grizzly football team, and her great-great-grandmother was the first editor of the University of Montana’s student newspaper, the Kaimin.
Jane attended Sentinel High School in Missoula. At 20, she and a friend packed up a Pinto and headed for San Diego, where she lived for four years before returning to Montana in 1986. She later married and raised two children – a daughter born in 1989 and a son in 1993. Much of the next two decades was spent camping and boating at Placid Lake. (She’s a water girl.)
In May 2021, Jane sold everything and moved to Venice, Florida, to be closer to the ocean. After four years – and three major hurricanes – she decided it was time to return to Montana.
Turns out she’s a Montanan. Missoula is her home.
Welcome Jane! We’re glad to have you on Team 315!
