Exciting news for the Montana Council! Please join us in welcoming our new Director of Field Service, Jeff Duer, to our team.
Jeff’s Scouting journey began in second grade and has taken him from earning his Eagle Scout in 1993 to serving in leadership roles across the country. He’s worked at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, guided councils in Denver, Orange County, and Pacific Skyline, and most recently served as Scout Executive of the High Desert Council—where he successfully led a major council merger.
With degrees in Communication and Journalism, a Master’s in Communication, and even a Disney “DUCKtorate,” Jeff brings both professional expertise and a lifelong passion for service. His leadership has helped councils achieve top honors, expand membership, and navigate challenges with resilience.
Outside of Scouting, Jeff enjoys pickleball, racquetball, biking, swimming, and cheering on the Denver Broncos. He’s also known for his love of travel, Disneyland adventures, and time with his godchildren.
We’re thrilled to have Jeff’s vision, energy, and dedication here in Montana—welcome to Team 315!
