The Montana Council is excited to welcome Drew Veitenheimer as the council’s new Registrar.
I was born and raised in Missoula, Mont., and graduated from the University of Montana in 2015. While a student, I worked as a work-study in the human resources office, processing student payroll and maintaining both online and physical employee files. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for database maintenance, data integrity, and record management.
After spending over six years at the University of Providence Admissions and Registrar’s Offices in Great Falls, I decided to pursue that same passion in a field other than higher education, which brought me to the Montana Council. I am always amused when I explain what I do for a living, and people seem a bit taken aback by it!
Outside of my work at Montana Council, I enjoy watching sports (especially my UM Griz, the Great Falls Voyagers, MLB, NBA, and any College Football and Basketball), going to museums, learning about the history of our beautiful State of Montana, traveling, reading an engaging book, or just learning about things I’d never considered! I’m a big believer that we never stop learning, no matter our age or background.
I’m extremely grateful to be a part of Team 315. In college, my majors were Anthropology and Geography, and I have the same mindset as our Scouts, who love to experience the natural beauty of our state and get out and about to give back in their communities.
I have met a good handful of everyone already, be it in person or over the phone/email, but I can’t wait to get to know everyone even more. Everyone I’ve encountered has been a shining model of all the good Scouting accomplishes!
Welcome Drew! We’re glad to have you on Team 315!
