The Montana Council is excited to welcome Gary Lawrence as a new District Executive serving the Northwest District.
“I was born, raised, and have been in Georgia my entire life.
I’ve been involved with Scouting for many years, and it’s been a big part of my family’s life. I have served as a Troop Committee Chair, Crew Committee Member, and Board Member with the Flint River Council in Georgia.
I have 26-year-old twins, and both were very active in Scouting growing up. My son earned his Eagle Scout rank, and my daughter earned the Ranger rank. Seeing what Scouting did for both of them is a big reason I’ve stayed involved over the years.
I recently sold my interest in the commercial printing company my family owned since 1936 and prepared to move from Georgia to Whitefish, Montana. My daughter and her husband live there and are expecting their first baby in December, so it’s a good time for me to start a new chapter and be closer to family.
I enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, or exploring somewhere new with my German Shorthaired Pointer, Tego.
I’m looking forward to getting involved with the local Scouting community, meeting new people, and doing whatever I can to help the next generation have the same great experiences my family had.”
Welcome Gary! We’re glad to have you on Team 315!
