I have the honor of being the next Wood Badge Course Director. Like many of you, I became involved in Scouting when my child joined Cub Scouts. I didn’t consider what it meant to be an adult leader until after I attended Wood Badge in 2018, where I participated in leadership training that went beyond Scouting. The concepts and lessons learned had a direct, positive impact on my professional career as well.
My son is now an adult, and I am still involved in Scouting. Much of the reason for this is because of Wood Badge. As a Wood Badge participant and through my various roles as Wood Badge staff, I have had the opportunity to continue to expand my leadership skillset.
